First Aid Training

Resilience 1st offers First Aid at Work (RQF) courses which are accredited by the regulator of England, The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) and is part of the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF).
 
These National accredited and recognised courses are conducted in a professional, structured training and friendly learning environment. Our courses are tailored to suit your requirements delivered by fully qualified, experienced Instructors.
Rest assured all our first aid courses are nationally accredited, follow guidance from the resuscitation Council (UK) 2015 and are in line with health and safety (first aid) regulations 1981.
 
Courses Available:
 
First Aid at Work (RQF)          
 
Course Duration: 3 days
Valid for: 3 years
Who should attend? People working in medium/high risk occupations
 
First Aid at Work (Requalification) (RQF)
 
Course Duration: 2 days
Valid for: 3 years
Who should attend? People currently holding a First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate that is due to expire.
 
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) (RQF)
 
Course Duration: 1 day
Valid for: 3 years
Who should attend? Suitable for all employees.
 
Childcare (Paediatric First Aid)
 
Course Duration: 1 or 2 days
Valid for: 3 years
Who should attend? People working with children and infants. Course covers topics required by OFSTED.
 
Health and Safety Executive, HSE strongly recommended that first aiders undertake annual refresher training.

Sports First Aid Course
 
Course Duration: 3 Hours
Valid for: 3 years
Who should attend? Suitable for all people involved in sporting or outdoor environments.
 
Sports First aiders should undertake annual refresher training.
 
 Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
 Recent Study:
 
·       The current UK survival rate for sudden cardiac arrest is just 6% therefore 94% die.
·       In cases where an AED was used then 38% survived and 62% died.
·       Where the AED was attached to a patient in VF within 3 minutes 75% survived and 25% died.
 
CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) Courses
 
Course Duration: 3 hours
Valid for:     Usually one year but you should contact the organisation concerned for more information.
 
Other regulated, non- regulated pet first aid courses are also available please ask for more details.
 
 Manual Handling Courses
 
Course Duration: Approximately 4 hours
